Topic Brainstorm

The first project listing I chose to research was mermaids. I have always been super interested in mermaids since I was a little kid. As a little girl one of my favorite movies was Aquamarine. I also feel as if mermaids have a huge part in myth and folklore due to all different old stories passed down for generations. The next topic that I found very interesting was Creek Stories. I am Musckogee Creek Indian and I have always been super interested in my heritage. My great grandpa used to tell me stories all the time but I don't really remember them. I think it would be super cool to do more research on these stories and be able to retell them and even pass them on to others in my family. https://sites.google.com/site/creekstories/

Next topic I chose to look at was The Brothers Grimm. I remember reading some of these stories in high school and found them interesting. These are your fairytales but more realistic and dark. I like them because they are more realistic even though they are more dark they are more relatable. The last topic I chose was Fairytales. I love princesses and princes and everything in between. I loved these stories and movies growing up. Now that I am grown up I am still a sucker for a happily ever after and when the knight and shining armor rescues the damsel in distress.
