Week 9 Story: Tiny Tales of Bailey

Image
This image is from the fox and hound but this my representation and inspiration of Bailey and the Fox.  Image Bailey, the Fox, and the Rabbit Bailey and the Fox went out to find food. The Fox was fast enough to catch a rabbit, but Bailey was not. Bailey was very angry that the fox caught some food, so he wanted to get revenge on the Fox.  Bailey sat and admired the rabbit. Can you help me gather some wood to cook it? Said Bailey. The Fox eagerly jumped up go and get wood that he let the rabbit loose. Bailey sped up and caught the rabbit, scarfing it down in one gulp.  When the fox returned he was so sad and hungry.  Bailey never told the fox the truth. Bailey and the Crunchy Soup As time goes on Bailey keeps tricking the fox. Now the Fox wants to get revenge. The fox invited Bailey to come and eat dinner with him.  The fox was to cook a big dinner.  The Fox made a soup, but it had many crunch pieces in it.  Bailey asked, Where did you find these crunchy pieces? They are delicious, he c

Week 9: Reading A

Image
This image represents Anansi and his tiger friend that was found on the internet.  Image The Tiny Tales of Anansi: This included 50 short 100 word stories. These stories contained content of primarily the daily life of Anansi. He had a friend in a tiger and he was included in almost all of the stories. The two of them would go out together, have fun together, and get in trouble together. There are also some stories that include some other animals and adventures they went on or things that they have done to other animals. There is also some magic wrapped within some of the stories which I really enjoyed.  Bibliography: Tiny Tales of Anansi, Laura Gibbs.  Un-Textbook

Week 8 Progress

Image
I chose this picture because as week are midway through the semester I am finding it harder and harder to stay motivated. I feel as if this photo is an accurate representation of how I am feeling right now.  https://theblacksheeponline.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/FINDING-MOTIVATION.jpg I feel as if I have made tremendous improvement with my writing skills. I have never been a writer and never wanted to write due to that. I would do everything in my power to try to get out of it. Now, I have gotten more confident in my writing capabilities. I know I am still far from a good writer but I do feel that I have improved a lot. Moving forward with the rest of the semester I really need to stay focused and trying to get my assignments done earlier in the week instead of waiting till the end of the week. I feel as that is my biggest struggle. I also want to improve my blog and website as I am still trying to figure out all of the little details.

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

Image
I chose this image because I think the most important thing about growth is getting feedback and accepting it in order to change.  Feedback Cats  I feel as the comments that I have received have been pretty helpful. Reading and outsiders perspective on something is always beneficial because they may notice something you did not or just bring up some new points to think about. They have also just been a confidence booster to me because I am not super confident in my writing.  I try to be helpful in my comments and offer new things to try out or incorporate into another writing. I do this because those are the comments that I typically like to receive, Usually I will ask a question or two in my comment to offer some critical thinking for them to ponder.  I think my Introduction sums up me pretty well with all the things I like to do. I really don't have any intention of changing my introduction to or my comment wall unless something comes up. Moving forward I would just like to ensur

Week 8 Reading and Writing

Image
This image is of Penolpe's house from my story The Magical Deer. I chose this image because it represents my favorite story that I have written so far.  The Magical Deer   Overall I feel pretty happy with my blog as it is. I'm  not entirely how it looks to the public but from my editing view I think it is pretty easy navigate. As for my website I am still working out some kinks and editing as I go. I have never made a website so this is all very new to me and I am slowly figuring that out.  As for my stories I think they are turning out to be better than I had originally thought they would. I am not a writer and have never been a strong writer so I was very nervous on my first story, I think writing the stories is getting a little easier each week as I am getting more used to it.  My reading notes help me tremendously when it comes to writing my author's notes. Typically, when I am trying to write my author's note I can just look on my notes and not have to reread the s

The husband loved his wife so tired of her nagging constantly.  One day the husband was out wandering the forest just looking for some food and supplies as an excuse to get away from his wife. As he was wandering through the forest singing happily he saw a black cat from afar. The cat quickly noticed the man and run right up to him. The two of them wandered happily through the forest what seemed like hours until the man realized how long he had been gone and knew that his wife would be angry with him.  "I must return home now," the man said to the cat. The man began his journey home, but the cat followed him, and he tried several times to get the cat to stay. The cat did not listen and so he decided to bring the cat home with him.  When he arrived b

Week 7: Reading A

Image
This is an image of the chest full of jewels that the man received from the sparrow in the story, The Sparrow with the Split of the Tongue.  Treasure Chest The Two Frogs: Two frogs that lived in two separate places but that have never met somehow got the same idea at the same time. They both wanted to see more of the world so the frog from Osaka wanted to go to Kioto and the frog from Kioto wanted to go to Osaka. They both started on their journey, but they came to a mountain that took them a very long to climb but when they reached the top they saw each other. They decided to take a nice break and they started converting on why they had wanted to take their journeys. They came up with the idea to stand up on their hind legs and hold onto each other to see the towns. This way they did not have to keep traveling. So they both got onto their hind legs and pointed their noses towards opposite towns. They did not realize that their eyes were on the back of their heads. So as long they live

Week 6 Story: The Wizard and the Maiden

Image
This image represents the cave that the Wizard lived in. I found this image off a google search.  https://www.tripadvisor.co.nz/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g298309-d2217966-i179929146-Fairy_Caves-Kuching_Sarawak.html   One day a woman was sitting out by a pond sobbing when what looked like a beggar had walked by. The woman was startled when the beggar tapped her on the shoulder and asked her what was wrong. "I cannot bear child and I am afraid that my husband will leave me," the woman said.  The wizard replied, "I can help you bear child if you make a deal with me." "I will do anything for child," said the woman. "I will impregnate you and you will be able to raise the child for 21 years and then she must return to me," said the wizard. The woman agreed to the wizard's deal and wondered home. The next morning she awoke and realized that the wizard held up his end of the bargain and she was indeed pregnant. She told her husband and he was so excit
